Cozy up and relax at this beautiful bed & breakfast located in the heart of Stirling, Ontario in Quinte/Hastings. We are right on the main strip within walking distance to cafe's and shops. Across the street from the Stirling Festival Theatre and a short walk to Farmtown Park. There are three rooms to choose from creating a tranquil place to stay and making you feel right at home. Located in the Bay of Quinte area, we are just 90 minutes east of Toronto in the vintage village of Stirling and just minutes north from the 401 along the Trent River in Quinte West. A perfect place to stop between Ottawa/Montreal and Toronto.
We strive to provide local ingredients when possible. There are plenty of places to provide us with the freshest of ingredients and we promise to do our best to get our hands on them.
HistoryThe B&B is luxurious and rich in history and dates back to the United Empire Loyalists who settled in the area around circa 1850. There is the doctor's bell in tact from when Dr. Carlton owned the house in the 1940's. The Old Carriage House is elegant in it's Victorian Italianate architectural charm and being luxuriously renovated to make your stay comfortable. It is rich in heritage and antique design and furnishings.
Attractions & ActivitiesWhether you are enjoying the thousands of lakes in the 'Ontario Highlands' to the north, the Great Waterway, the Trent Waterway or the Bay of Quinte. Enjoy golfing, boating, swimming, canoeing, horseback riding or fishing. Touring the art studios, wine country in Prince Edward County or vintage village shops. Staying here in Stirling to see the theater or attractions and the Heritage Village Museum/Farmtown Park. Exploring the rich heritage of Quinte/Hastings by cycling or adventuring the many trails of Hastings and Eastern Ontario. This is the place to be.
